How to Build LEGO Waves
Water is a popular feature in LEGO builds and there can be a big difference between having a flat layer of tiles to water that feels like it has some motion. If it is a coastal scene, dock or sea based build, waves are always an important factor. There is an entire LEGO sea worth of techniques for building waves into your design but this is a very simple guide on how to build LEGO waves
By creating a curve, you instantly get the feeling of movement in the water and by increasing the height as you near the front of the wave, it feels as though it is coming out of the surface and growing.

What’s more, it is easy to change up the patterns to make every wave look unique, break around rocks or pier posts, or even against the hull of a ship!
