The real Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century historicist palace, situated on a rugged hill of the foothills of the Alps in the very south of Germany. We think this beautiful LEGO Neuschwanstein Castle by Jamie Douglas is a perfect replica!
“I started planning the build in 2019, but for various life reasons I didn’t start building it until August 2022, and I finished it on the day of setup for Bricktastic in February 2023.
The intervening 3 years were spent refining the planning of it, as well as stockpiling lots of elements I thought I’d need. Despite this, I still placed about 90 Bricklink orders during construction, and it utterly decimated my existing stock of white bricks.
It’s been displayed at 5 shows so far, and all being well it should be at a further two shows this year – Black Country Brick Show and Reading Brick Show, both in April.” – Jamie
