Exciting New LEGO Jurassic World Set Officially Announced!

The LEGO Group have officially announced an exciting new set in the LEGO Jurassic World range. 76968: Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex is an impressive 3,145 piece set, standing 33cm tall and a colossal 105cm long. The T-Rex skeleton is a 1:12-scale replica with movable joints, including the skull, jaw, posable arms and tail.  The set will be released on, an already stacked, 15th March, with early access for LEGO Insider members on the 12th, retailing at £219.99.

The latest Jurassic World set is a big step up from the previously released fossil sets, the T-Rex Skull, and Triceratops Skull. As with the LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils set, the latest LEGO Jurassic World set will be a full sized skeleton of the T-Rex, but at a much more imposing scale than we have seen before.

In addition to the skeleton, the set includes an information plaque that can be attached to the display stand, hidden dig-site Easter eggs that include an amber piece and Raptor claw. The set also includes two minifigures: Dr. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler from the original film.

Images of the set were leaked online ahead of the official announcement and anyone who attempted to look up the set number on the LEGO website was greeted with a fun easter egg from the original Jurassic Park movie.
