Bricklink Designer Program Series 7 Finalists

In case you missed it, the Bricklink Designer Program Series 7 has announced the five builds that will progress to crowdfunding on 1st February 2026. There will be plenty of tinkering with the designs from now until then but, in the meantime, let’s look at the five successful BDP Series 7 designs.

We are quite a way off the BDP Series 7 Crowdfunding phase with series 5 next up in June, but this means that the 5 chosen projects have plenty of time for refinement between now and February 2026.

Now, let’s look at the 5 Bricklink Designer Program Series 7 Finalists!

W.A.L.T. the Little Robot by Leewan

W.A.L.T was designed to be a desk buddy—a cute character that brings joy into your space and keeps you company, whether you place them on your desk, in your office, or take them when you travel. If you can look at W.A.L.T. the Little Robot and not feel even a pang of joy, I suggest you start questioning a few things!

W.A.L.T. is more than just a cute build, though. Although the build only includes 663 parts, it has seven interchangeable faces and seventeen points of articulation, allowing the robot’s expression and pose to be changed as desired. I love that a blank face has been included so that you can create your own.

Bricklink Designer Program Series 7

Sushi Restaurant by BrickProject

The Sushi Restaurant feels like it has been pulled straight out of an anime. Every time I look at it I find more fun details, there are so many to see including an ‘irori’ fire pit, a bamboo water spout, a bonsai tree and so much more.

The Sushi Restaurant has been designed with a fully accessible interior and a fun modular system that allows for multiple configurations. The build contains seven Minifigures and 3,419 LEGO pieces without any sign of waste.

Bricklink Designer Program Series 7

Privateer Frigate Fortuna by BrickPerfection

Equipped with 20 cannons and 2 swivel guns, the Fortuna is either the ultimate pirate hunting ship or the perfect new vessel for Captain Redbeard and his crew to commandeer. Either way, this is an outstanding build that won’t just appeal to fans of the classic Pirate LEGO theme.

There are many nods to the classic 6285: Black Seas Barracuda and some vast improvements throughout the build. The barrels creating the masts look great, and although it would be fantastic to have a version of them catching the sea breeze, the brick-built sails look pretty cool, especially with the detailed rigging.

Although the designer didn’t specify the exact part count, it is clear that this 80cm+ ship pushed the 4,000 Bricklink Designer Program part limit to the maximum and uses every one of them perfectly.

Antique Collection by Terauma

The Antique Collection is an interesting choice for the designer program and quite challenging to write about. Essentially, it is an antique display cabinet, an antique armchair and a book-strewn table. The cabinet is full of what appears to be every fun-looking element available in the BDP series 7 palette, with the potential to store part of your own LEGO minifigures.

It doesn’t sound like much on paper, but the building is beautiful. The shape of the furniture and all of the intricate detailing have been stunningly crafted. The colour variance creates the feel of true varnished wood and beautifully upholstered cushions. The part usage included is excellent, with a highlight for me being the use of broom heads for chair legs.

Alchemist’s Shop by Shram

The Alchemist’s Shop brings us back to a build that feels more familiar to the Bricklink Designer Program. It is a fun build that would be perfect in any medieval town or village. In fact, the designer intentionally created the Alchemist’s Shop to match the style of builds like 21325: Medieval Blacksmith.

We really love the botanicals that have been included for the alchemist to use and the bee hive out back. And of course, the alchemy bottle in the roof is such a brilliant touch.

Congratulations to all of the BDP Series 7 finalists! Each of the 5 builds will be going into the design refinement stage on 31st March 2025, with the final builds being available for crowdfunding in February 2026.
