The Week’s Hottest LEGO Rumours (31/03/2025)

We have scoured the internet for the hottest LEGO Rumours doing the rounds in the last seven days. At this point, the LEGO Group have provided no official confirmation on any of these LEGO rumours, so take them all with a pinch of salt!

LEGO Icons 10351: Sherlock Holmes Book Nook

Fans have wanted a Sherlock Holmes-themed set for some time, with a Baker Street build even included in the LEGO Ideas 2024 Third Round review. Likewise, book nooks have been growing in popularity, and we will even see a rumoured Lord of the Rings book nook later this year. If rumours are true that June will see the release of a Sherlock Holmes-themed book nook, it feels that LEGO might be starting a broader theme than first expected. While the anticipated presence of Minifigures has sparked excitement, there are currently no other clues about this release. Stay tuned for what promises to be an intriguing reveal!

LEGO Icons 10360: Space Shuttle Discovery and SCA Modified Boeing 747

Recent LEGO retiree 10283: NASA Space Shuttle Discovery was a fantastic looking set that is part of a broader LEGO Icons / Creator Expert NASA line-up, which includes 10266: NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander and 2024’s 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System. It is not unrealistic to believe that another NASA-themed set will likely be on the LEGO Group’s roadmap. The rumoured 10360: Space Shuttle Discovery and SCA Modified Boeing 747 is expected to focus on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, with the Discovery on its back, and is said to contain 2,417 pieces with a proposed release date of May 2025.

Harry Potter 76457: Hogsmeade Village

A new rumoured addition to the LEGO Wizarding World will take us on another visit to Hogsmeade Village, as long as you have your permission form signed (or a Marauders Map). With a piece count speculated to exceed 3,000, the rumoured September 2025 release would be the most extensive Hogsmeade set that LEGO has released to date. Although considerably less than the 2020 75978: Diagon Alley set, it is still enough to make it the fourth largest Harry Potter set released, leading to the question of what scale we can expect… if the rumours are true.

Star Wars 75419: UCS Death Star

If you are a LEGO Star Wars fan, you have probably already seen rumours and predictions circulating the internet about the reputed 75419: UCS Death Star. If everything we have read is true, with a rumoured 9,021 pieces, the UCS Death Star would have the 5th highest piece count of any set released by LEGO to date, and unless we are getting a cutaway section of the planet destroyer, maybe the most difficult to display. Based on rumours, the set will come with 38 Minifigures, suggesting an open design for play, but if all of the rumours are true, the Death Star will still be a monstrous build.

LEGO Icons 10352: The Simpsons: Krusty Burger

When we last visited Springfield it was 2015, when set 71016: The Kwik-E-Mart was released. Since then, the Simpsons theme has been quiet outside of projects on LEGO Ideas. The rumoured Krusty Burger set will take us back to the home of America’s most loved family, with an expected June 2025 release. The Krusty Burger LEGO set is rumoured to contain 1,635 pieces and come with seven Minifigures.

LEGO Icons 10358: Transformers Soundwave

Since the LEGO Group and Hasbro collaboration began in 2022, we have seen Autobots Optimus Prime and Bumblebee recreated in LEGO form. The first Decepticon is now rumoured, with 1,502 pieces, an August 2025 release with an interesting choice of character. The most obvious choice for a first Decepticon build would have been the leader of the evil faction, Megatron. Instead, the rumoured release will be one of Megatron’s most loyal servants, Soundwave, most likely due to Megatron’s transformations being a tank and gun. Soundwave has always been a fan favourite character, despite the gigantic robot turning into a standard-size cassette player. As with the original Hasbro toy, the set could contain one or more of Soundwave’s spies, hopefully Ravage and Laserbeak.

LEGO City 60466: Yellow Bulldozer

The LEGO Group has done an excellent job evolving the vehicles in the LEGO City line over the years and, based on rumours, the latest construction vehicle is a perfect example. Set 60466: Yellow Bulldozer is rumoured to make full use of the smaller-scale piston pieces to create a functional engine, and with LEGO Speed Champions designer Chris Stamp moving to the city line, the added detail expected in the build will likely be apparent.

As mentioned, everything in this article is based on online rumours!
